We have learned since the pandemic that educational opportunities like workshops, and conferences can be run seamlessly online. Not only does it enable a larger audience to participate, it reduce the costs of establishing a conference space and having speakers travel on location to speak. However, the missing human connection is real. Many conference organizers agree that sending each participant a gift set / promotional products kit invokes a sense of connection and with the right items, it will facilitate engagement during the virtual event as well. In this blog post, we will review how one client use promotional products gift set to express gratitude and engage customers for an online workshop event.

The client is an online coding academy, the workshop is for parents of current students to check in and learn about the skills and classes that the school has to offer. The main goal of the gift set is thank the parents and have an interactive element where everyone can participate during the workshop.

The client has already thought about the taglines “You’re the cream to my sugar” and “You’re the Luigi to my Mario”, so it would make sense to have some food items in the set. They decided on individual packs of coffee and tea to go along with a custom printed tumbler that they regularly use for events. Since it was a conference included a branded pen (also from a current marketing campaign), and a new branded notebook to round out the kit.

Pro tip: Incorporating existing promotional items that you already have for other campaigns will reduce the amount of new items you buy and potentially save money with price break! We highly recommend planning ahead before purchasing any new items!

Choosing the Right Packaging

Since this is an online event, each gift set will be mailed to each participant’s home. To cut down excess packaging and mailing cost, the client opt for our custom cardboard mailer. Printed in full color in all the panels, it gives a retail look with plenty of space for marketing message. The best thing is that it is ready to be mailed once the items are assembled.

Pro Tip: always add padding such as packing peanuts and/or tissue paper to secure the items. 

 

 

 

Campaign Success

About 50 kits were assembled, packed and shipped to the participants’ home before the workshop date. The items were well received and loved, they especially appreciate the cute messages on the mailer!
