With many models and options available, do you wonder how to choose a promotional power bank charger?
At Garuda Promo and Branding Solutions, we do not just sell promotional products, but we would like to provide the necessary information so you the customer can make an educated decision on your purchase. Mobile power bank charges is the hottest promotional products in 2014, and it is going to be a favorite in 2015. When it comes to custom mobile power bank charger, do you feel that have all the information you need to decide which model and style?
The first piece of information you encounter is mAh. It stands for Milliamp Hours. It is a unit for measuring electric power over time. mAh is commonly used to describe the total amount of energy a battery can store at one time. The larger the mAh number the more power it can store, and can potentially charge more types of devices. According to Gizmag, an iPhone 5 battery has 1,500 mAh, whille iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus each has a 1810 mAh and 2915 mAh battery.
A power bank of 3,000 mAh can charge an iPhone 5 almost 2 times fully before recharging, and it can charge an iPhone 6 or 6 plus just once. Promotional power bank capacity ranges from 2,000 mAh all the way up to nearly 20,000 mAh! Typically the lower capacity power banks have slimmer and more compact designs, and higher capacity chargers tend to be heavier and bulkier.
Output is measured in Ampere, and it tells how quickly a custom power bank can charge and whether or not it can charge a device. If it has a single output most likely it is 1A, which will work on most mobile phones. Tablets like iPad require more power to charge, so it may not work in that case. If you would like your custom power banks to work on tablets and phones, it is better to choose one that has a higher output, around 2.1A.
We offer custom power banks with 2 or more outputs, allowing you to charge multiple devices at the same time. Normally those with 2 outputs, 1 will have a lower output (1A) for cell phones, and 1 will have higher output (2.1A) for tablets. The capacity of the charger will be higher too so it contains enough power for multiple devices.
The input will tell you the speed the battery will charge up. The higher the input current the faster it will charge. It ranges from 0.5-2.1A.
Connect to the computer to charge
There are 2 ways to charge the power bank, first is using the USB connector cable to a USB wall adaptor, or connecting the USB cable to a computer.
There are two types of batteries used in power banks: Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) and Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion). Li-Ion is more common as it has a higher energy density, but has in aging issue which causes to lose capacity over time. Li-Po on the other hand has a lower energy density and higher cost to manufacture, but do not suffer aging as much as Li-Ion.
